WARDOGS Best Settings: How to Tune Your PC
Tune WARDOGS with a repeatable comparison: choose a baseline, change one option, check visibility and keep a record you can reuse after updates.

Check the official WARDOGS PC requirements, including both CPU and GPU tiers, 16 GB RAM, 50 GB storage, and the resolution and upscaling targets.
Reference ledger
Steam lists 16 GB RAM and 50 GB free space for WARDOGS at both hardware tiers. The minimum targets 1080p Low at 60 FPS with upscaling; the recommended tier targets 1440p Medium at 70+ FPS natively, or 4K Medium at 60+ FPS with upscaling. EVIDENCE / 01WARDOGS on SteamOpen source (opens in a new tab)
Reference facts
A frame-rate figure means little without its settings. Here, “upscaled” means the image is reconstructed to the displayed resolution from a lower rendering resolution. Comparing the minimum target with a native-resolution test would give you the wrong expectation. The two recommended targets also describe different workloads; they are not a promise that every Medium preset combination performs identically. If you plan to play at High settings, an ultrawide resolution or a much higher refresh rate, the published targets do not answer that question. Look for a test using those conditions before buying hardware specifically for WARDOGS.
Our advice is to write down your full CPU model, GPU model and installed memory before comparing them with the list. A PC described only as “an i7 with 16 GB RAM” is missing the CPU generation and graphics card, so it cannot be matched reliably.
A mixed configuration needs care too. For example, matching the recommended GPU while falling below the minimum CPU does not make the whole system recommended. The same applies to a laptop whose GPU name resembles a listed desktop part: use results for that laptop configuration rather than assuming equivalence.
The storage figure is available disk space, not a download-size promise. Leave working room beyond the listed amount when planning the installation; this guide does not prescribe an unsupported patch-space allowance.
Record the resolution, preset, upscaling setting and whether the slowdown occurs in a busy match or a quiet scene. That gives a useful starting point for the FPS guide. Use best settings to work through adjustments; a crash or failure to launch belongs in crashing support.
No. Steam explicitly labels the minimum 1080p Low target as upscaled. Native rendering appears in the recommended 1440p Medium target.
